My wife and I got to talk to our friend Ben who is in Iraq serving our country. He calls our friend and his "adopted" parents Paul and Dana. He came into our lives through church where he found a life in Christ. He is doing well and had a near-miss when a rocket exploded into a wall outside the chapel. We are glad he is safe and his return cannot come soon enough. I support our troops but this Iraq war seems to have gone on too long. I hope it will end soon. Ben and many other folks are too young to die too soon. But until it ends I hope they will do their best and hang in there. God bless you Ben!
I am currently working on my new homepage http://tony.burgess410.com where I have had a web address for a few years now. This is my main site where my web projects will be posted and other cool stuff. This will remain my official blog and I have a feed to this blog as a widget. Click on VOX Blog left on the menu. Every so often I will scout out new technologies to build homepages and use them for other web stuff I do. Please feel free to drop by there. Keep coming back here to find out what I am thinking from time-to-time. Until later, signing off.
The morning before every Chattanooga Mocs football, basketball and softball home game the Chattanooga Mocs Club hosts a breakfast with a coach from the team playing that day. We gather at Wallys Restaurant on McCallie Ave in Chattanooga. This is a tradition that brings Mocs Club members and other fans together to get a sneak peak at the days game. This morning Jason McManus told us about the game today with Citadel. The Mocs are 1-2 after a great win against Georgia Southern in overtime last Saturday in Statesboro, GA. I am hoping for another Mocs win today! GO MOCS!
I love blogging...but like a fine artist you have to have the inspiration and the time. Now I am back at it and ready to go. For my birthday I got a new digital camera. Its a Kodak Easy Share 12 mega-pixel unit that takes great pictures. There will be pictures posted soon. With the camera you don't always need 12 mega-pixels it has settings for 6 and 3 so I use mostly 6 mega-pixels. Also it takes Hi-def video too. I am going to be getting some editing software that will allow me to edit video. I am going to do more blogging and actually contributing to the web instead of being a consumer. Signing off for now but more to come!
This is our new hamster Maisy. We got her name from her dad who is Maddie and her mom who is Daisy. Put them together and you get Maisy! She came to our home for the first time on Tuesday and she is discovering her way cool cage and trying to run a hamster marathon in her high-tech wheel. Like most hamsters she is adapting to her new surroundings after being separated from her mother and siblings. She was a bit scared at first however everyday that goes by she is feeling more and more comfortable. Mikey our dog who is her big brother has no comment.
